Where to get tested for free in Berlin!

GESUNDHEITSAMP

There are 12 Gesundheitsämpte in Berlin however only 5 of them have a 'Zentrum für Sexuelle Gesundheit und Familienplanung' where you can get help for all sexual health related matters. 

 

They offer FREE services in:

*HIV testing

*STI testing and treatment

*Pap smears

*Pregnancy testing

*Contraception – here you can get the Spiral and have it inserted for free!

They also offer a whole range of pregnancy and gynacological services, unfortunatly some of these including abortion are not for free.

What you have to do to get this all for free is prove you are a low income earner, if you receive Hartz 4 that's easy, for the rest of us it may require e.g taking in your last month's bank statement however sometimes they believe your word, it depends on who serves you at reception.

Donnerstag:	13.30 - 17.30 Uhr (nur für Berufstätige, Schüler, Studenten)
Freitag:	9.00 - 12.00 Uhr

When you ring or drop in say you want to see a doctor, otherwise they send you to a separate testing department, this way you can tell the doctor what you want and get the help you need.

It is best to ring and make an appointment to see a doctor however you can drop in and wait (be prepared to wait a while).
